    Notes:

Mike, You are right. I have driven this road a few times. It was built after John Baptist Gough, George Gough, Matthew Nevitt and the Horrell's moved into the area. The Pulliam's moved in a little later. The road is a few miles west of Mt. Eden starting on the Spencer--Shelby Co. line. Sarah Gough is the dau. of Eleanor ( Elander) Nevitt and the Widow of George Gough, he died in 1836. Ignatius is her brother and was the guardian of my G Grandmother Mary Jane Gough until her marriage to Gideon Pulliam.
Its quite the historic place for me, it's the birthplace of my Grandfather. Finding the order to build the road was a real find as it named the land owners the road would be built on. Now if your thinking the Nevitt's are my relativies-- they aren't. Mary Jane Gough was the daughter of George's first wife Mary Beaven.

Hello Dolly, Yes, my G-G-Grandfather was George Gough a brother of James Gough. George was married twice, 1st to Mary Beaven, (my G-G-Grandmother) 2nd to Sarah Nevitt a sister of Dorothy Nevitt. George's Father was John B. Gough a Revolutionary War Veteran. I know very little about James's family. Do you have any information about George and James's sisters? Keep in touch. Jim Pulliam

    Hi Cousin Dolly
My wife and I are going to Bardstown next week for a Greer reunion. This is on the Pulliam side, my G-G-Grandmother was Susannah Greer of Nelson Co. KY. A 4th cousin Greer living in Louisville make contact with me last year. He is also related to the Pulliams--Brother married Sister--Sister married Brother thing.

Thanks for the quick reply. I had contact with Carlyne Lamb last winter, but at the time she wasn't certain of which James Gough was her Grandparent. Couldn't give her much help because I had no info on James's Children.
    George Gough's first marrage produced three daughters: Maria b. c1812 m. Francis Elzy Beaven,25 Aug.,1830, Elizabeth b. 1814 m. Samuel D. Pulliam, 18 Jan. 1838, Mary Jane (my G-Grandmother) b. c1816 m. Gideon Pulliam, 2 Feb. 1837.
    George's 2nd marrage to Sarah Nevitt had the following children; James M. b 1820, George Washington b. 1825, Matthue b. 1828, John S. b. 1829, Amanda Ellen b. c1832 m. Felix Blandford, Andrew b.1834, Tonilda b. ?

My wife Martha and I have been to Shelby, Spencer, Washington, and Nelson co.'s and Frankfort many times.
