    • Died at his residence in this city Saturday evening, August 17, Dustin M. Popham, aged 71 years, 10 months and 22 days. He had been in bad health for some months and was recently attacked by malaria, followed by other complications, which finally caused his death.

The funeral services were held at the Catholic Church Sunday afternoon, afer which the mortal remains were laid to rest in Little Prairie Cemetery.

Mr. Popham was a native of Meade County, Kentucky, having been born there September 25, 1846. He came to Missouri in 1888, and has since made his home in this city. He had engaged in various mercantile enterprises since comingng here, but gave up this work. In 1915, he was elected city collector, which office he held at the time of his death. He had been re-elected in April, 1918, afer quite an exciting contest.
