      Rites Held For Langston Crook
      Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock a number of devoted relatives and friends assembled in the Chapel of Barry Funeral Home to pay final tribute to Laurin Langston Crook, accountant here for more than 20 years.

      THe rites were conducted by the Rev. T. R. Poole, pastor of First Methodist Church. With Mrs. Fred McGehee as accompanist, Mrs. Harry Laster, Mrs. Oliver Shell and Mrs. B. M. Huffman sang "In The Garden."

      Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were John Scott and Bob Scott, both of Memphis, J. D. Faulkner of Kennett, Mo.,W. A. Sheffield and Charles H. Reece of Tupelo, and Bob Lueth.

      Mr. Crook, who was 49, died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis following an illness of about a year. He was a Methodist.

      A World War II veteran, he served with the finance department of the army. He had resided here since 1955. For the past several years he had been an accountant with the Lueth Flying Services here and was also associated with W. A. Sheffield, certified public account in Tupelo.

      He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth McCaul Crook; his mother, Mrs. A. L. Crook; a sister Mrs. George A. Powers of Baton Rouge, LA.
