Concept:
We can have several mailing lists, one of which can be our Prospect list to which we will send a periodic email bulletin.
Considerations for DIscussion
Price- – FREE
Who – Members, Facebook members, people who sign up on public side of website.
Privacy – must agree to privacy (GDPR) policy. Will have option to unsubscribe,.
Frequency and content ideas – 8 times per year
- Quarterly – at the time of our new newsletter – announce the new issue, perhaps list table of contents, pick a story to highlight – partial content with “to read more”, general interest blog post, news (DNA, gathering, etc, and invitation to join link with coupon code for new members
- Half way between (about 6 weeks) similar content as other – but instead of newsletter contents – highlight a feature of the website.
These do not need to be long.
One idea for this prospect group – have two tiers
- Subscribe to bulletin – simple signup with name and email and acceptance of privacy policy
- Subscription Plus (figure out what to call it) – invite them to register for a Free account -with limited access, perhaps to post queries. The goal is to draw them into the website.
- These queries would be in a moderated forum – where posting would first need to be approve – to manage spam.
