  Mary Ann (Rust) Davenport died 25 Nov 1926 in Waldron, Scott Co., Ark. News of the death was reported in the Scott County News of November 25, 1926. Mrs Cox's Mother Dead Mrs Robert Davenport, mother of Mrs. Jim Cox, died at the home of Mrs. Cox in Waldron, where she was visiting Tuesday night, She lived in Weeks, and has several relatives there. She is survived by her husband, Robert Davenport, and eight children, four boys and four girls, who are as follows: Mrs. J. B. Cox, Mrs. Brothers, Mrs, Joe Terrry and Mrs Frank Stevens, and John, Jim, Will and Earl Davenport Her obituary was carried in The Advance Reporter of November 25, 1926 Mrs. S. R. Davenport aged 77 died early Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. B. Cox, in Waldron. Mrs. Davenport had been in delicate health for some months past and had come from her home at Weeks last Friday to spend awhile here but her condition grew worse each day and after continued suffering since her arrival, she quietly passsed into the great Beyond. The interment will be made at Mr. Pleasant Cemetery Thursday afternoon, Rev. J. H. Huston conducting the services at the cemetery. On December 2, 1926 the following notice was found in The Advance Reporter: Mrs. S. R. Davenport of Weeks was buried at Mt. Pleasant Thursday afternoon. She lived in this vicinity years ago and is the mother-in-law of the editor of our paper. We extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
