      There's an Amanda E. SINGLETON 6/28/1864-5/28/1900 buried in Liberty Cem., Decautr Co., TN - don't confuse. This Amanda is the d/o Tenessee P. ROBBINS

      Hazel GOFF GALEK says there's an old story that Lewis GOFF had a girl who ran off with a Yankee soldier. Would that have been Amanda?

      L.B. or S.B, age 17(1843) if not Amanda? In the 1850 census, Amanda is the oldest child.

      According to Harry BROAD's great Aunt Clara (a desc. of Samuel Dorsey GOFF), a dau. of Lewis', Catherine, married a Mr. SINGLETON. In the census her name is Amanda C. so her middle name was probably Catherine.

      On death certs of sons Wiles, William & Lewis she's known as Katherine/Catherine
