      p. 190 STANFILL, R. T. (The Lexington Progress, March 17, 1922) R. T. STANFILL, aged 79 years, one of the best citizens of the Sardis community, died Thursday of last week, leaving his wife, ten children and a large number of other descendants.

      Riley Taylor met Sarah Isabell while he was in the Union Army in Illinois after having fought at the Battle of Shiloh. He was an enlisted Corporal with the 145th Illinois Infantry, Company F.
