The son, Alexander married a 2nd time after Rose Ellen died to the widowed sister of my g-grandfather, Basil Clements. Her name was Mary A (Clements) Fields. Do you have any info on Rose Ellen's death and burial?

Alexander was a watch maker. He and Mary were married 28 FEB 1897 in Daviess County, Indiana. Alexander died 9 APR 1907 in Evansville, Vanderburg, Indiana. One reason they may have moved there was that first Mary's father, Richard Pius Clements was in the state hospital from 1890 until his death in 1902. Then her 1/2 brother, Basil Clements, was in the state hospital from about 1910 until he died 3 MAR 1913, two years before Mary, herself, passed away in 1915. Mary paid for Basil's casket and for the body to be shipped back to Washington, Daviess, Indiana.

In my research I have noticed that many people in that family died of stroke-like events. Back in those days, anyone with those symptoms was considered "insane." Since the families were poor, the state hospital was the only available medical care.

I have a database at RootsWeb with extensive info on the Clements family, if you are interested. The name is "Brown-Louzon and Connected Families" and the database ID is "jclouzon_1912"

Thanks for respondidng to my posting, and Merry Christmas!
