      Margaret Louise "Maggie" (Dowden) Wayne, 60, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
      Maggie was born in Lafayette, Indiana, on September 21, 1954, to Keith and Ruth (Kenny) Dowden. She graduated from West Lafayette High School and Purdue University. Maggie was a wonderful wife and mother. She was an understanding and compassionate person with a kind and generous soul, sensitive to the needs of others. Maggie was a talented and artistic person and shared her gift freely with everyone she knew.
      Maggie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert "Jeffrey" Wayne, of Evansville, Ind.; daughters, Lindsay Harris (Rick), of Tokyo, Japan, and Molly Wayne (Jamie), of Oakland, Calif.; by her mother; sister, Caroline Bourdon (Mark), of Argos, Ind.; brother, Chris Dowden (Ellen), of Vero Beach, Fla.; and by two granddaughters, Kendall and Quinn Harris.
      Maggie was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; and uncles, Robert and Marshall Kenny.
      A celebration of Maggie's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 3601 Washington Ave., Evansville, Ind., 47714, with Rev. Michael Erwin officiating. Browning Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
