    • James Leslie Girten, age 65 died September 16, 2017, with family by his side. He was born July 8, 1952, in Uniontown, KY, to James and Ella Girten. He enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam from November 1970 to April 1972.
      He is preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Ann Girten; his parents James and Ella Girten, four sisters and two brothers.

      his son Grant Mayes of Sturgis, KY
      2 sisters Jan Moeller of Branson, MO Ruth Ann Stremming of Lee's Summit, MO
      brother Barry Girten of Crossville, IL.
      Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, Nov 4, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown, KY.
      Visitation will be 4-6 PM Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY.
      Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown, KY.
