Ancestors who served in or supported the American Revolutionary War

Researching the pioneer settlers of Osage County has led to the identification of the following Revolutionary War ancestors. Descendants of these individuals able to document this relationship and service would be able to apply for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution or Sons of the American Revolution:

      · Charles Gough, b. 1756, d. 1826, son of Benjamin Gough.

First I will to my beloved wife Mary Gough my plantation as long as she lives. And at her death to be sold and equally divided among all of my children. I also desire that my son Ignatius live on the place and take care of his mother as long as she lives if they can agree but no longer then they can agree.
Item two, I also will to my wife one bed and as much furniture as she may want for her bed.
Item three, I will to my daughter Julia my gray mare and yearling colt mare then the rest of my children.
Item four all, the rest of my property to be sold and equally divided among all of my children.
My reason for leaving Julia more then the rest is for services she has rendered to the family.
Item five, I will to my son Isadore a small piece of my land where he now lives to run up the branch where the old still house stands to include the rock spring and then in such a direction as to miss the cleared land and strike the Lancaster line.

Mike: I forgot to post the date, 1788, for this tax entry in Nelson County.
I also found Charles Goff on the Nelson County Tax List - first time? living in the Hardins Creek and Cartwrights Creek area with 2 tithables including one black, along with a Baptist Goff nearby. List taken by John Caldwell - Capt Gilkey's and Capt Caldwell's Cos [Companies] I believe that only males over 16 were tithable.
