Notes - I already have that Eleanor Gough, dau. of Peter Gough, married Peter Howard, son of William Howard and Mary Melton. Eleanor was deceased prior to 1775 when Peter's wife was shown as Elizabeth.

Dear List,

Recently we were discussing the probable placement of Ann Gough who married Thomas Howard and her sister Susanna Gough who married Edward Gabriel Montgomery.
>
Mike Gough said that Linda Reno gave a logical guess that possibly they were daughters of Peter Gough and Eleanor Bowles. it looks good to me also.
>
I just noticed that Peter Gough and Eleanor Bowles also have a daughter Eleanor Gough.
>
I found this marriage in St. Mary's County, Maryland Peter Howard & Eleanor Gough 10/23/1767

there was a Peter Howard son of William Howard and Mary Melton who married an Eleanor Gough.

My question is could this Eleanor Gough he married be a daughter of Peter Gough and Eleanor Bowles?
>
it's very Possible that the William Howard who married Mary Melton could have had a brother who maybe the father of Edward Howard father of the Thomas Howard who married Ann Gough.
>
> it would certainly not be impossible for two brothers to have sons that marry into same family.

> Does anyone know who Eleanor Gough (daughter of Peter Gough and Eleanor Bowles) might have married? and could we find records that might support or reject my thinking?
>
If not then is there another Eleanor Gough who might be a candidate for wife of Peter Howard?
