    • From James (Ed) Edward GOFF " We know little about Edmund Alexander (Goff. He and Mary Holmes died when my father was 9 years old and my father was raised by his sister Ollie Goff. Aunt Ollie died in 1917 when she was only 36 years old. My father was 5'8" tall and weighted 131# at time of discharge from the Navy. Pictures of Edmund Alexander in Turner's book indicate that he was smaller than average. Uncle Willie and Uncle Lester were average or below in size. My father said that Edmund Alexander died of typhoid fever and Mary Holmes died of gallstones." -- Couldn't find in 1880 census 1900 Decatur Co., 11th Civil dist p. 98A, Image 11 on Ancestry.com , house 92-93 GOFF, Edward, married 22 years, b.
