Notes - Also, Ignatius Gough, son of James Gough and Priscilla Heard died in Frederick Co., MD in 1782. The will was, however, recorded in St. Mary's Co.
Here's his will:
Will of Ignatius Gough, probated 3/30/1782, Frederick Co., MD. Plantation and land in SMC called "St. Margaret's", 147 ac. is to be in the possession of Elizabeth Heard for her use and maintenance of her and her daughter, Mary Heard (dau. of sd. Elizabeth and the granddaughter of John Basil Heard) until Mary Heard arrives at the age of 16 at which time it belongs to her. To: Elizabeth Heard, my bed and bedstead, one bolster, one rug, blanket, and sheet. Brother: James Gough, all of my right and title to that pt. of "St. Margaret's" that is now in dispute between John Greenwell, John Bailey, James Gough and myself. Wit: James Leake, James Farthing, and Ninian Beall.
