Notes - Son of James Gough and Rebecca Davis. Possibly had a second wife whose name is unknown. He was a miller in Kentucky and came to Texas with his wife and younger children when already middle-aged and retired. His wife and Carrie died in a typhoid epedemic in the summer of 1880 at Clarksville. He returned to Kentucky and married again, bringing his new wife back to Clarksville. There is no marker in the Clarksville Cemetery and no one can locate his grave now due to vandalism. 1
