Notes - Joseph Wilburn Gough, 91, of Louisville passed peacefully on October 15, 2018 at the Episcopal Church Home. Joseph was born and raised in Union County, KY. He was a WWII U.S. Marine veteran and also served in the Army National Guard. He was owner and operator of St. Matthews Roller Rink, retired from Seagram’s Distillery and owner of Swiss Laundromat in St. Matthews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen Whitsell Gough.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Michael Gough (Judy); daughter, Connie Gough (Don Bledsoe); grandchildren, Jeffrey Gough (Cristin), Jill Hill (Mike), Branden Bledsoe (Becca), Rachel Bledsoe Albritton (Houston); great-grandchildren, Claire Gough, Heidi Gough, Trace Hill, and Ben Bledsoe. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 am in Evergreen Dignity Memorial Chapel, 4623 Preston Hwy 40213. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
The family would like to kindly request that in lieu of flowers all donations be directed to The Alzheimer’s Association to honor Joseph.
