Dear Mike,
I knew about James' marriage to Nancy Lynch Price but didn't know who any of the children were, or if they had any.
You would not believe how many letters I have written, books searched, records searched. (no body ever mentioned my Joseph) I've copied reams of stuff off the microfilms at the Family HIstory Library in Salt Lake with Church Records (Saint Andrews Parish, Saint Mary's County) trying to find the connection. I found Joseph Goughs but I could not make the connection. I knew, too, that he was related to those families that came from St. Mary's but didn't who to, or how.
His descendants, Joseph D.'s, are mostly here in Fayette County buried at Calvary Cemetery which my grandfather, Logan E. Adams, was superintendent of for several years. His mother Josephine, his grandmother Ann Savillla Allgaier are all buried there. My grandfather, Logan Eugene Adams, married a good Baptist and when he died she buried him along side her grave, across the road in the Lexington Cemetery where notables, Statesman Henry Clay and Adolph Rupp (Surely, you have heard of him if you watch basketball), are buried among others.
I still have not gone through all of the other family information you have given me but when I come down from this "high" I'm on, I may ask you a few more questions.
Thanks again,
Betty
