  • Notes
    • I've done just a little work on this issue this morning, but I'm pretty sure he was the son of Peter Gough (d. 1766) and Eleanor Bould (Bowles?).

Will of Peter Gough, SMC 9/24/1766-2/10/1767. Son: Ignatius, plantation in case he pays his brother Bennet 5000 lbs. tobacco. Daughter: Elizabeth Martindale. Personal estate to 7 youngest daughters and wife. Daughters: Ann, Mary, Eleanor, and Kezia Gough. Exec: Wife, Eleanor. Wit: John Tarlton, Ann Tarlton, James Jordan. (Maryland Calendar of Wills).

Note that Peter Gough didn't name all of his 7 youngest daughters, but Ann is one of them and I'd be willing to bet that Susan was another. Linda Reno
