Son: William Gough, the land where I live reserving to his mother the sole use of it during her life.
Son: Joseph Gough, my land in Medley's Neck known as "William Husbands" reserving to his mother one third of it during her widowhood.
Daughters: Ann Gough, Mary Gough and Cecelia Gough, 200 pounds each at the age of 16. If one dies, their share to be divided between the survivors.
Sons: Peter Gough, Stephen Gough and Bennet Gough, half of the schooner "Nonpariel;" my half of the schooner I am building in partnership with Joseph Ford completed for sea; the balance of money, tobacco and outstanding debts after paying the 600 pounds to my three daughters.
Wife: (unnamed), all of the remaining part of my personal estate. After her marriage or death, my sons, Peter Gough, Stephen Gough and Bennet Gough, are to have 25 pounds each out of it and the balance is to be equally divided between my six youngest children, Peter Gough, Ann Gough, Mary Gough, Stephen Gough, Bennet Gough and Cecelia Gough.
If my sons, William Gough or Joseph Gough, should die without heirs, the land devised to the first one of them to die is devised instead to my son, Peter Gough. If the second son should die, his share is devised to my son, Stephen Gough. If my sons, Peter Gough and Stephen Gough, die without heirs, the land is devised to my son, Bennet Gough.
My children not educated should be schooled as is common for children of their circumstances out of the estate bequeathed to my wife.

Dorothy Heard, daughter of MATTHEW Heard and Margaret Leigh, married William Gough in St. Mary's Co., April 15, 1800. William Gough was deceased by 1820 when Dorothy was listed as head of household. At least one of her children, if not more, moved to Baltimore.
