      George GREENWELL Dies At Home Near Lakenan
      George J. (Si) GREENWELL, 67, died at his home south of Lakenan about 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon after a three year illness of paralysis. He had been a prominent farmer of the community, but had been confined to his bed for the past three years. He owned 400 acres of farm land in Monroe County.
      Mr. GREENWELL was born a mile and one half south of Lakenan on July 11, 1861, and had lived there all his life. He had been married twice, and his second wife survives him.
      He is also survived by three daughters, Miss Floy GREENWELL and Mrs. Ernest VanMARTER of Hannibal and Miss Anna Ryan, who lives at home; two sons, Roy of near Lakenan and Maurice at home; three sisters, Mrs. Ed ABELL of Monroe City, Mrs. Ella BUCKMAN of Shelbina and Mrs. Maggie WORLAND of Lakenan.
      Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Shelbina Catholic church. Burial was in the Shelbina Catholic cemetery.
