      William Benedict Greenwell b.1832 was the son of Benedict and Maria Gough Greenwell. He is not, however, your ancestor. Meade County KY Records Vol. 2 has marriage of William B. Greenwell 1857, of age, b. Meade Co., to Britana Brown, consent of father, Richard, also b. Meade Co. License Date of 9/12/1857; marriage date 12/14/1857, Minister Father Patrick MacNicholas.

      William Benedict Greenwell b.1837 Meade, KY, s/o John F. and Sarah Winifred Parr Greenwell is found in John F.'s household 1850 age 14. Meade County KY Records Vol. 2 has marriage of Wm. B. Greenwell 1857, certified by father John F., b. Meade Co., to Osbourn, Eliza J,. consent of mother, b. Meade Co. License Date: 11/17/1857; Marriage Date: 11/24/1857.

      Hi:

      I may be able to help you some.I found aUliana born June, 1866 who married a James C. Carrick on 3 Oct., 1884. She was the dau of William Ben Greenwell born May 15, 1832 son of Bendict Greenwell and Mary Gough. William Ben Greenwell died 31 July , 1882 And he is buried in St Teresa Cemetery, Meade Co., Ky. He married Britannia Brown born 23 Oct., 1839 and died 27 Dec., 1912 they were married 14 Aug., 1857. She was dau of Richard & Ceclia Brown.

      This information is from Marian Greenwell Burgelia 's book on Greenwells.
