Harriett Ellen Gough.
Harriet E. Gough died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hardy, southeast of Shelbina, Monday. She had been in poor health for a year, but was taken seriously ill last Friday.
Harriet Ellen Grout was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Rice Grout and was born near Lakenan July 26, 1848. She was married to B. L. Gough about thirty-six years ago. They resided near Monroe for a short time, then moved to Shelbina where Mrs. Gough resided until a few months ago when she went to live with her daughter.
Deceased leaves besides the daughter, two sons, Wm. H., of Kansas City and Frank, of Nevada. William arrived here several days ago and Frank was expected last night. If he arrives in time the funeral will take place at 9 o'clock this morning at the Catholic church in this city.
Mrs. Gough was aplendid (sic) christian woman, a most devoted mother and enjoyed the friendship and esteem of a large circle of friends.
