My father was stationed in Germany and had just met my mother when she died. Dad could not go back home for the funeral. His group was involved in the tunnel under the Berlin wall, eavesdropping on the Russians. Later on this evening I will call my mother, and ask about Merill, Katherine. I met both of them.
