      > Cordelia Burch [2] was born in 1831 in Kentucky to Francis "Frank" and Elizabeth (Hill) Burch. Frank was born on 1 February 1791 in Charles County, MD, and migrated to Nelson County, KY, with his family while still a boy. Frank married Elizabeth, a daughter of Charles Hill, on 28 June 1812 in Nelson County; Elizabeth was born about 1796. Frank's profession was whiskey making. He and Elizabeth settled on Rolling Fork of the Salt River, not far from Frank's father, Walter, but across the Hardin (now Larue) County line. Frank and Elizabeth had about twelve children. Elizabeth died on 3 October 1848 and was buried at St. Catherine's Church, New Haven, KY. Frank remarried on 11 Januray 1849 in Nelson County to Ellen Buckman. Frank died on 9 August 1856 in Larue, KY, and was also buried at St. Catherine's Church. Ellen died after 1880.

      > Surprise, surprise. This makes me related to both you and your wife. I should have looked at my ancestry chart before sending the email. I did have the information that I descend from Stephen Gough via his daughter Mary Gough that married John Miles II (although I did not have Mary Tattershall as the wife of Stephen Gough). I would be glad to exchange any information but I have not computerized all of mine yet. I have been working on a book project for my Paden line and that is all I have on the computer.

Thomas Murtey was the brother of James Murtey, Jr., the gr. grandfather of your wife. That would make your wife and I third cousins.
      > * Nancy Olive Hill b. 12 Jan 1871 in Marysville, IA; d. 22 Aug 1949 Council Bluffs, IA. Her descent from the Goughs of MD would be as follows (beginning with her father):
