DIED SUDDENLY - MRS. REBECCA LANCASTER'S ILLNESS OF SHORT DURATION
She was seventy-eight years of age and had an extensive acquaintance - Mrs. Rebecca Lancaster, one of the city's oldest women, died of old age at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon after an illness of but a few hours. She had been ill but no alarm was felt for her until last Saturday night. She was seventy-eight years of age and has lived in this city the greater part of her life. She moved to this city from Marion County, where she was born , about the time of her marriage to Mr. John R. Lancaster, who died many yards ago. She was the mother of eleven children, ten of whom are living. They are Mrs. Frank Clements, of Walnut, Kansas; Mrs. Frank Pottinger, of Chicago; Mrs. Edward Clarke of West Louisbille; Mrs. Sam Berry, Mrs. Ham Pope and Messrs, R.. J., Pat and Sam Lancaster of this city; Mat Lancaster, of Louisville, and Mr. Will H. Lancaster, of British Columbia, and Mrs. Samuel Edelen, deceased. Mrs. Lancaster was a member of the Catholic church and was a good woman. The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock this morning at St. Stephen's Church, and the interment will be at the Catholic cemetery. The following grandchildren will be the pallbearers, Pat Lancaster, Edward Pope, Lucien Berry, Fred Lancaster, Richard Berry and Riggs Lancaster.
