      George married Martha Ann Fenwick on August 27, 1839 in Union Co, KY. After Martha died, he married Elizabeth Susan Eliza" Spalding on August 26, 1858 in Union Co, KY. After Eliza died, he married a Helen A Thomas.

      History of Union County, Ky, 1886, Pg 538, tells about George Hite. It says he only was married twice. But other source say three times. Union County Past and Present 1941, pg 38 mentions all three wives from which he had 20 children

      He was a prosperous farmer and in later life retired to Uniontown where he died.
