      Beverly A. (Atherton) Wayne, 83, of Evansville passed away Tuesday August 4, 2015 at her daughter Amy's house. She was born February 16, 1932 in Evansville to the late James and Ardyth (Gough) Atherton.
      Beverly was a 1950 graduate of Memorial High School and still maintained contact with classmates having monthly lunches together. She was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral where she was a former Vice President of the PTA, a Parish council Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. Beverly retired from the Baby Shop and most recently worked for Paragon Promotion. She was a loving wife and mother and adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately knew her as "Nanny". There were many different pets in the family house and she loved them all.
      Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne and parents.
      She is survived by her children, Beth Ann Ziliak of Indianapolis, Jeffery Wayne (Maggie) of Evansville, Mike Wayne (Kate) of Newburgh, Melinda Meadors (Paul) of Haubstadt, Mark Wayne, Rebecca Marvel (Tim), Katie Jones (Jeff), Tom Wayne and Amy Bitter (Todd) all of Evansville; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Mike Atherton (Reva) of Evansville and nieces and nephews.
      Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm Friday August 7, 2015 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with a memorial service at 7:00 pm.
      Funeral service will begin at 9:30 am Saturday at the funeral home and will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with Fr. Godfrey Mullen officiating.
      Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
      The family would like to thank Sonja Williams of Heritage Hospice for her kind and compassionate care.
