    • Rose Agnes Hite was born in Uniontown, Kentucky, on February 7, 1920. She passed away on
      October 11, 2010, at home surrounded by family members.

      Rose enjoyed gardening - growing the largest vegetables we relished for many years. She
      played golf in her 70's, and volunteered at nursing homes taking care of older people ten
      years younger than herself. A devout Catholic, she attended St. Agnes in Uniontown, Ky.,
      in her childhood, and most recently Holy Redeemer in Evansville. She attended Mount St.
      Joseph College in Owensboro and spent most of her employment years in Belleville, Illinois
      at Fredrick Trucking Company until her retirement, at which time she returned to
      Evansville to care for her mother, MaryJo.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert E. and MaryJo Hite; and her three
      brothers, Allen, Birch, and J.W.

      Rose is survived by nieces and nephews, Allen, Thomas, Mary Helen, Carrie Jo, Becky,
      Katrina, Sam, Jim, Bill, and their families. She was called "grandma" by Marissa and
      Michael and was a loving aunt to Heatherly and Damian, all who loved her dearly.

      She was the kindest woman you would have wanted to meet, thanking everyone for anything
      they did for her.

      Please visit Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, Kentucky, on Thursday, October 14,
      2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. to say your goodbye. The Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Funeral will
      be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 15, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown, Ky. Fr. Terry
      Devine will officiate. She will be laid to rest at St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown,
      Kentucky.
