    • He was the son of Aloysius Lawson Howard and his wife Martha Ann, nee Shanks.

      His death certificate and grave marker incorrectly show his birth date as February 12, 1852. He was baptized on March 25, 1855 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Whitesville, then a mission church of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Daviess County, Kentucky. His birth date was listed then as February 17, 1855. This was incorrect as to the day. He also has an 1855 Daviess County, Kentucky birth record. That record shows he was born February 12, 1855 to A. Howard and his wife Martha A. Shanks.

      His Latin baptismal record name was translated as Metetius. This memorial name comes from his Kentucky Death Certificate, with his son Charlie Howard as informant.

      He married Ellen Generose "Jennie" Monarch, daughter of Thomas Monarch and wife Amanda Catherine, nee Mattingly about 1879. The couple had been married 21 years as of the June 1, 1900 census. They had 12 children, 8 of whom were living at the time of the April 15, 1910 census.

      His death certificate listed his usual occupation as a carpenter.

      Malicious died of chronic valvular heart disease.

      He was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery on April 7, 1941.
