    • Bonnie L. (Johnston) Titzer, 74, of Boonville, IN, passed away, Monday, October 28, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born on September 9, 1945 in Evansville, IN to Arthur B. and Ruth Helen (Burch) Johnston. She worked as a legal secretary for firms in Boonville and Evansville for many years, retiring in 2018. She participated with Sweet Adelines Choir in musical productions at Evansville Civic Theater and Cantor at St. Clement Church.

      Her greatest love was watching/following her grandkids grow and cheering them on during sporting events.

      Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jane Johnston; son-in-law, John Burger; brother, Bernie Johnston. She is survived by husband of 56 years, Don Titzer; daughter, Cathy Burger, son, Brian Titzer (Tammy), daughter, Jane Harpenau (Jeff); nine grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, Emily, Caleb Burger, Abbey, Rachel Titzer, Nathan, Carly, and Megan Harpenau; sister, Joette Hodgen (John); several nieces and nephews.

      A special thanks to Dr. Kodali and staff for the special care given to Bonnie.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 31, 2019 at St. Clement Catholic Church, 422 E. Sycamore St. Boonville, IN 47601. Rev. Fr. Jack Durchholz will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh IN 47630 (812)853-8314 and on Thursday morning 9 a.m. to service time at the church.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
