Subject: thank you for your hard work on maintaining the Lancaster Cemetery Findagrave memorials.
I know Thomas B. Lancaster's daughter married a Gough. I believe his name was Andrew Gough. They are buried in Lancaster Cemetery. Many records are missing so it is very possible those souls you seek are buried in Lancaster Cemetery. It was a private Lancaster-Hagan (and allied families) burial ground from approxiamtely 1832 until 1870 when the first St Peter Church was built. Then it became a Catholic burial ground for this 1st church until approximately 1910. After 1910 due to flooding a 2nd St Peter Cemetery began to be used and burials in Lancaster Cemetery ceased. Again due to flooding a new St Peters church was built in 1925. Burials continue today in this 2nd St Peter's Cemetery. You can call St. Peter's Church in Stanley. They have old burial, marriage and baptism records.
Look @ burials in St Peter's 2nd burial ground and Mater Delorosa on Crabtree in the city of Owensboro. Also contact the Catholic Archives in Owensboro. They have all sorts of Catholic records for all the Catholic churches in and around Owensboro. If you call the nun in charge will allow you access to the records when you visit or might look through records for you. Also go to or call the Kentucky Room @ Owensboro's Public Library. Has a wealth of genealogical information on early area families. Speak to Jerry if you can. By the way I had placed many records regarding Lancaster Cemetery in a file in the Kentucky Room. Jerry can direct you to my file.
Also have seen the Gough name spelled Goff in Maryland records.
There are many more buried in Lancaster Cemetery than those I have posted on findagrave. Their records have been lost or destroyed over the years.
If I get a chance to look through my records & stumble upon BJ Gough or Susan Monarch Gough I will let you know.
Hope this was helpful in some small way.
