Notes - Hi Mike,
I have a little more to add. For James H. Gough (s/o James III and Nancy Lynch), I have his wife as Cordelia C. Jenkins. I did not record the source, but could she be Ann Savilla Jenkins' sister? I did not have Joseph D. Gough's info, so thanks for that.
I have a slightly different death date for Ignatius Gough, May 23 (vs. March 25), same year (1825). I wonder if that's an issue of transcribing a worn stone, perhaps?
For James Leake, I have a death date of May 7, 1842, in Ralls Co., MO. The following information is from Ron Leake's book on that family:
"II-2. James "Cincinnati" Leake: (s/o James "Rebel" Leake, #I, and Mary ???) b: May 1, 1771 at MD, d: May 7, 1842 at Ralls Co, MO, bu: St Paul Cem., Ralls Co, MO, 1/m: to Elizabeth Gough (b: March 4, 1781 at MD, d: Feb 23, 1835 at Ralls Co, MO. d/o James Gough and Susanna Medley); James 2/m: March 28, 1837 to Ann "Nancy" Tarleton (b: Dec 24, 1782 at Scott Co, KY, d: 1862 in MO, age 85 years, d/o Jeremiah Tarleton and Eleanor Medley; widow of Abraham Carter; Ann 3/m: Dec 15, 1848 at Ralls Co, MO to George Shaver. The marriage contract for her marriage to James Leake was unsuccessfully proved by Ann and her 3rd husband, George Shaver.) No children from second marriage."
Gough is one of my direct lines, so I try to keep them orderly! The recent discussions have helped considerably.
