      Lonnie, thanks for the death certificate. It does say that her mother was Louisa Magill. However, John Henry Manning first married Susan Catherine Gough who died 21 July 1842; Find A Grave Memorial# 36551884. Julia Ann Manning Pike was born on 16 July1841 to Susan Gough Manning. So Susan died about a year after Louisa was born. Louisa Ann McGill married John Henry Manning 12 Sept 1843. So Louisa Ann McGill was Julia Ann Manning's step-mother. Since Julie Ann was so young, Louisa Ann was the only mother that she knew.
