    • p. 460 DYER, Ollie Chalk (The Lexington Progress, August 1, 1941) Mrs. Ollie Dyer was born July 24th 1878, and died in her home near Sardis, on July 27th, 1941, aged 63 years. She leaves her husband, J. N. Dyer, of Sardis, three sons, Arthur, Lexington, Holland and Carl, Sardis, and several daughters; three brothers, J. P. Chalk, Lexington, Jim Chalk, Decaturville, and Bob Chalk, Sardis; two sisters, Mrs. Johnson, Jackson, and Mrs. Shene Dyer of Sardis. Elder C. C. Johnson conducted the funeral services with burial in Sardis Cemetery.
