Donna Sue Hayden, 61, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Donna was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on October 13, 1951. She was a loyal member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and graduated in 1969 from Memorial High School. Donna formerly worked at North High School cafeteria. During Donna's long illness she was always more concerned with the wellness of other people. Donna's personality shined the brightest during times when she selflessly took care of other people. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Donna is survived by her husband of 41 years, Terry Hayden, of Evansville, Ind.; daughters, Melissa (Tony) Hayden Trader, of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Tricia (Jerred) Hayden Burns, of Evansville, Ind.; sister, Teresa (Michael) Banser, of Fairfield, Iowa; brothers, Charles Mattingly, of Lawrence, Kansas, and Donald (Charlotte) Skelton, of Princeton, Ind.; grandchildren, Max Trader, Kennady Burns and Jackson Burns.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Charles (C.B.) and Margaret (Jordan) Mattingly.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.continuing with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gene A. Schroeder celebrating. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from noon until 6 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Browning Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
