Notes - He registered for the World War I draft in Kentucky on September 12, 1918 and stated his full name and date of birth (year disagrees with his headstone which reads 1878) and said he was living in McQuady, Kentucky working as a farmer for James Beavin. He named his nearest relative as Cornelia Mattingly (his wife) and further said he was tall, of a stout built with brown eyes and red hair.
His death certificate #21310, gives a date of birth of 12-18-1881 but the date has been altered.
