Notes - Mrs. Raymond Mattingly, 65, Former County Resident, Dies
Mrs. Edna Mary Mattingly, 65, wife of J. Raymond Mattingly of Louisville, died on Sunday, June 6, at St. Anthony’s Hospital there. Mrs. Mattingly, who was a Miss Mattingly before her marriage, was born and reared in this county, a daughter of Dan and Lizzie Bean Mattingly, long deceased, and attended school at St. Charles. She had made her home in Louisville for the past twenty-five years. Survivors, besides her husband, include two daughters, Mrs. Marie Macey and Mrs. Elroy Farmer, and three sons, Elbert, Milton and Earl Mattingly; also one brother, Archey Mattingly of Evansville, Ind., twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a cousin of Louis Mattingly of Loretto, and Mrs. Lum Abell, Joe Lee and Arthur Mattingly of Lebanon.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville. (January 1951)
