Notes - Mike,
Don Mattingly is a MD to KY Mattingly at least 3 times that I can think of.
His father was born in Evansville, IN in 1915 not long after his family
moved there from Beantown in Marion Co., KY. Beantown is located not far
from St. Charles Church. Some of Don's father's older siblings were born in
Marion Co. and have told me that they spent their summers in Marion Co.
while they were going up, staying with relatives. They especially
remembered riding in a horse and buggy over the Hardin's Creek bridge to
attend church at St. Charles
He comes out of
Joseph "The Wheelwright" Mattingly and Hessy Hinton
John Amos Mattingly who married Mary Daily
William Albin Mattingly who married Sarah Jane Rhodes
Daniel Columbus Mattingly who married Elizabeth Bean
Joseph Archibald Mattingly who married Carrie Wells
William Daniel Columbus Mattingly who married Mary Louise Hoffman
Donald "Don" Mattingly, the New York Yankee.
He also comes out of
Susannah Mattingly who married Bennett Daily
Anastasia Mattingly who married Cornelius Rhodes
