Notes - I believe that Benedict Joseph McGill is a brother of Ann Caroline McGill who married Alonzo Vawter and Susannah McGill who married Joseph Washington Ross. Caroline Vawter is the sponsor for both Benedict and Marguerite Ann (Burch) McGills' daughter, Elizabeth Victoria McGill and Susan McGill and Joseph W. Ross' daughter Caroline Joseph Ross.

Lonnie, do you know the parents of this Benedict McGill? He had at least ten children with Mary Ann and Marguerite that were baptized in Nelson County.

Lonnie, perhaps Benedict Joseph is another son of William McGill and Mary S. Muir. William was born in Hard County, VA and Mary was from Maryland. This is what we've accumulated on William and Mary:
