Notes - Carroll Meuth
EVANSVILLE -- Carroll J. Meuth, 65, Evansville, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the VNA Hospice Charlier Center.
Mr. Meuth was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society at the church and the USI Varsity Club. Carroll had worked as a brick layer in earlier years, before becoming a machine operator at General Foods where he worked for 25 years before retiring. After retiring he had spent time volunteering at the Food Pantry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Hite Meuth; a brother, Robert Meuth; and two sisters, JoAnn Meuth Anderson and Judy Meuth Coppola.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 40 years, Paulette Burton Meuth; a son and his wife, Paul and Lori Meuth of Evansville; his twin brother, Harroll Meuth of Newburgh, Ind., and brothers, Donnie Meuth, Forrest Meuth and George Meuth, all of Henderson and Larry Meuth of Tomball, Texas. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Zoe, Amanda and Landon Meuth; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Catholic Church in Evansville, the Rev. Phil Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Evansville.
Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin St., Evansville, where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., and after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Institute of Integrated Rural Development or IIRD, a missionary program founded by Carroll's good friend, Fr. Bill Christensen.
