Notes - Dorothy married Richard Faulkner whose family owned an insurance company in Omaha. They later divorced and Dorothy never remarried. She had no children. Dorothy had studied in France. She became an airplane pilot in the 1920's and continued to pilot planes the rest of her life. She spent a lot of her life travelling the world. She was a successful interior decorator in Wilmington, DE and did work for many of the DuPonts living there. She had a home on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala that she frequently visited. After the death of her father, Thomas Murtey, in 1926, Dorothy and Mabel basically became estranged for the remainder of their lives. There never were two such dissimilar sisters.
