Notes - Edward C. Raley, Sr., 86, of Paragould, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. He was born March 27, 1925 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Jeff J. and Eva Burch Raley. He was also preceded in death by his son, Edward Raley, Jr., brothers, Tom, Jay, Bernard and Burch Raley, sisters, Mary Albertine, Marian Rainwater and Marcella Raley. Ed was the manager of Otasco and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife: Kitty Raley, of the home; son: Bernard Raley of Paragould; daughters and son-in-law: Mary Fletcher of Paragould, Jane and Mike Kelley of Little Rock; brother: Robert Joseph Raley of Little Rock; grandchildren: Cullen Fletcher, Erica Summers, Michael Summers and Robert Summers; and great granddaughter: Harper Raley Summers.
There will be a public rosary from 6:00-6:30 PM Monday at Heath Funeral Home. Following the rosary, the family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday. His life will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, with Father Mike Sinkler and Deacon Rex Bouldin officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
