Bio Notes below from Gary and Merleen Ellis dated 6-3-2013:
Uriah and Nancy lived on the church grounds of the Sisters of Loretto in Loretto, Marion Co. Ky. Uriah was a stonemason by trade and worked closely with the Sisters.
The Sisters of Loretto migrated to Osage Mission (Now St. Paul, Ks) to educate the Osage Indians. The Mission grew and they wanted to build a Catholic Church so Uriah and family followed the Sisters to Osage Mission and helped build St. Francis Catholic Church which is still in use today. They had a close relationship with the nuns with many family members on both the Blair and Dant lines becoming nuns. Several of Uriah & Nancy's children attended the Loretto Academy in Loretto, KY. Uriah and Nancy were listed as parents and lived "near".
Other children were: Thomas Uriah Blair, Jr. b 13 Jan 1860 d 19 May 1885.
Margaret (Maggie) Blair Duffy b 16 Jan 1882 d 16 Jan 1897.
