      >I'm descended from Michael Cunningham and Julianna Shircliff's daughter Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Addison Seal. Have lot's of info on Julianna's father, John Shircliff, a veteran of the War of 1812 and the battle of New Orleans. A common error found on the internet is the death date of his wife Mary Gough Shircliff. She died after Oct. 22 1883 not in 1847. For 19 years she fought for a pension based on John's service which was finally approved an Act of Congress. It was signed on Feb. 27 1865 by Abraham Lincoln.
