    • As I look now at what I have, I recorded Thomas Gough & Martha Shanks as "friends" with this under marriage notes: cannot locate a marriage record. Thomas named as father of Martha's twins, but they are listed as Shanks in 1850, not Gough

      I cannot locate Martha in the 1860 census. I do see her son John with his uncle Ambrose Shanks & Frances with her grandmother Lydia Shanks.

      I do find her in 1870 next door to her mother & brother in 1870. She also has a dau. Martha Howard age 9 who you do not show below:

      I don't see any of the children in Peyton Heady's baptismal records for St. Vincent. They were all born in Daviess County, Kentucky

      I also feel at a loss, as I cannot find anything at ancestry.com, genealogy library.com with Union Co. marriages aft. 1850.

      I'm trying to find out if Peyton Heady's family still has some of his books for sale. I'd found an obit for him from Aug. 2006. There are a couple of books I'd like to buy to supplement what I can find via my various subscriptions.
