Notes - He was an 18 year old Gunner's Mate on the USS Franklin off the coast of Japan in March 1945 when it was hit by a Japanese dive bomber. Of the 1,540 men aboard the Franklin, 836 were killed; Tom was among the 704 survivors. After the War he graduated from the University of Denver and went to work at his father's bank. After the death of his father in 1967 he became President of the bank. In 1971, after the death of Mabel, Ann and Tom sold the bank. He then worked at Packers National Bank in Omaha until he retired.
