    • John D. Stumpf, 70, of Evansville passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his home. He was born September 10, 1947 in Evansville, IN to the late David and Elizabeth (Wathen) Stumpf.

      John was a graduate of Memorial High School and University of Evansville. He worked at Old National Bank and Trust Co. in the Trust Department for over 25 years. He was Vice President, Senior Client Advisor, Mineral Specialist and Mineral Landman Manager. While attending UE, John was a a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity (SPE), and was an alumni board member for over 40 years. He was also past Brigader General of Anthony NUTS! McAuliffe Organization. John was active with the Public Education Foundation Summer Musical program for over 25 years. He atttended Christ the King Catholic Church.

      He is survived by his wife, Jo "Margaret" (Melchiors) Stumpf; daughter, Katherine (Scott) Eller; grandchildren, Madeline, Eliza and Mary Kate Eller; siblings, Ann (Bruce) Clem, Mark (Gloria) Stumpf, Mary (Jim/Mac) McCarthy, Paul (Mary Sue) Stumpf, and Jane (Dick) Wildeman and many nieces and nephews.

      John was preceded in death by his parents.

      Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm by Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 South Hebron Avenue, Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:30 - 10:00 am, Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Annunciation Parish, Christ the King Campus, 3010 Chandler Ave, Evansville, IN 47714 where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am, with Father Alex Zenthoefer and Father Ted Tempel officiating.
