There were at least three men named "Ignatius Bowles" who lived in Nelson Co during the same time period so it is sometimes difficult to distinguish among them:
      1. Our Ignatius, born ca 1780 MD, married 1807 Nelson Co KY Ann Fulkerson
      2. Ignatius, born ca 1748/53, died 1817 Nelson Co KY, married 1777 St. Mary's Co, MD, Catherine "Caty" Gough. Ignatius and his brothers John and William came to Nelson Co in 1785. After this Ignatius died, several of his 10 children moved to Union Co KY in western KY.
      3. Ignatius, born ca 1793, s/o Ignatius #3, married 1819 Nelson Co KY, Catherine Reed. In 1850, they were living in Graves Co KY.
Although both families originated in St Mary's Co MD, I do not know of a connection.

Would like to hear from anyone with information on these families.

      3. Ignatius, born abt 1745/53, married Jan 21, 1777 St Marys Co MD, Catherine Gough. Ignatius died 1817 Nelson Co KY, living a will (Will Book C, page 531) naming wife "Caty", and the following 10 children: 1. Benjamin; 2. Eleanor; 3. Ann; 4. Tracy; 5. Clarissa; 6. Ignatius, born abt 1793, married 16 Aug 1819 Nelson Co KY Catherine Reed and went to Union Co KY; 7. Charles T.; 8. Ralph; 9. Nancy; & 10. Caty. I think all the children eventually left Nelson Co and probably settled in Union or Daviess Co KY.
