    • Marion Virginia (Toon) Gatti, 96, passed away gently September 20, 2010 at
      the Heritage Center. She was born on June 26, 1914 in Paducah, KY the
      daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Burch) Toon. She attended St. Vincent
      Academy in Waverly, KY. She is survived by a brother, Frank E. Toon of
      Roseburg, OR; three daughters Alicia Lopez, Rita Gatti and Katherine Toon
      all of Evansville; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

      "Ginny" was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Gatti in 1972. Her
      life goals were to be a good wife, good mother, good friend and good
      neighbor. She achieved those, and her giving spilled over into her community
      through volunteerism at church and in hospitals up until the age of 80. She
      liked to work with babies, handicapped children and the elderly. She became
      a devoted grandmother. Her hobbies were cooking, playing cards, gardening
      and work games. She loved to sing al her life long and continued to do so
      until just a few days before her death.

      Her ashes will be interred next to her late husband in 29 Palms, CA. The
      family will have a private memorial celebration at a date not yet
      determined. Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel is handling the arrangements.

      Her daughters would like to thank the Heritage Center and the Heritage
      Hospice for their caring support.
